Kirk Gibson
Kirk played 17 seasons in Major League Baseball achieving World Series Championships with the 1984 Detroit Tigers and 1988 Los Angeles Dodgers. He is currently Assistant to the President of the Detroit Tigers and contributes to Tiger television broadcasts on Bally Sports as a color analyst. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2015, Kirk committed himself and his Foundation to improving the quality of life for others by advocating the inclusion of activity and exercise within an overall treatment plan. He is currently the President of the Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors.
JoAnn Gibson
JoAnn co-founded the Kirk Gibson Foundation and has served as a Board member since inception. With Kirk’s diagnosis in 2015 JoAnn has been an advocate for the Parkinson’s community.
Steve Annear
Steve joined the board in 2022 and as its Managing Director and CEO his primary focus is the development and implementation of the Foundation’s strategy. Steve is an experienced CEO having successfully led a number of companies in a range of industries. Beyond his passion for the Foundation, Steve splits his time between his family, keynote speaking and investing in new technology start ups.
Rick Lasch
Rick has served as a board member on the Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s since 2016. Rick co-founded a healthcare analytics company in 1998 and oversaw its nationwide expansion serving as its CEO until 2007. Rick served as a corporate director on its board from 1998 until March of 2013 and is involved in other philanthropic activities and causes. Rick holds a Bachelor of Arts, Marketing from Michigan State University.
Tom Archipley
Tom joined the Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s board in early 2022. He was the owner and CEO of Centurion Medical Products Corporation until it was sold in 2017. Tom is Chairman and Co- Founder of Blink Device Company, a medical technology company. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Denison University, and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
